Occupational Therapists (OTs) are healthcare professionals specialized in assisting individuals across the lifespan to do the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of daily activities (occupations). They enable people of all ages to live life to its fullest by helping them promote health, prevent—or live better with—injury, illness, or disability. OTs work with individuals who have mental, physical, developmental, or emotional impairments to develop, recover, improve, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and working.
