Dialysis Technicians, also known as Hemodialysis Technicians or Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) specializing in dialysis, play a critical role in the treatment of patients with kidney failure. These technicians operate dialysis machines used to remove excess waste and water from the blood of patients whose kidneys can no longer perform these functions naturally. They work closely under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and other medical facilities, ensuring that dialysis treatments are administered safely and effectively.
